Milford & western Oakland CountyThirteen miles east of the shop. All makes and models — including the brands whose dealer closed years ago and left you with nobody to call.
The shop is at 8160 W Grand River Ave in Brighton. Milford is roughly thirteen miles east, a straight run out I‑96 to the Milford Road exit. Kensington Metropark sits almost exactly between the two. Close enough that there is no distance charge added to the service call, and close enough that the truck arrives carrying the parts that actually fail rather than scheduling a second trip to bring them.
We cover the village of Milford, Milford Township, and the surrounding area out toward Highland, Commerce, Wixom and the Proud Lake and Kensington corridors.
This is the call we get most often from Milford and western Oakland County, and it is worth saying plainly: a closed dealer does not mean an unfixable hot tub.
A lot of spas in this area were bought fifteen or twenty years ago from dealers who no longer exist. The homeowner calls the number on the cabinet, finds it disconnected, searches the brand, gets nothing, and concludes the tub is scrap. Then it sits covered on the deck for two years.
In practice the four systems inside almost any spa — heating, circulation, control and plumbing — are built from a fairly small pool of components. Heaters, pumps, control boards, pressure switches, sensors and jets are either genuinely generic or have direct-fit equivalents that are still manufactured. We have been servicing spas across Southeast Michigan since 2001 and are not tied to any one manufacturer, which is exactly why orphaned brands are a large share of the work.
If your tub carries a badge nobody recognises any more, that is not a reason to skip the call. Tell us what it says on the cabinet and what the panel is showing.
Milford has a lot of mature tree cover, particularly out toward Kensington and Proud Lake, and that shows up in the service pattern. The most common repeat complaint here is a FLO or FL flow error that gets cleared, runs fine for a week, and comes back.
Nine times out of ten that is not a failing pump. It is organic debris — leaf litter, needles, pollen, seed — loading the filter far faster than the manufacturer's cleaning interval assumes. The tub is reporting insufficient flow because there genuinely is insufficient flow. Replacing the pump fixes nothing and costs a great deal.
The fix is usually unglamorous: a shorter cleaning interval matched to your actual site, a cover that seals properly rather than one that has gone waterlogged and warped, and sometimes a different cartridge grade. We would rather tell you that on the phone than sell you a pump.
Tell us what the tub is doing and what the topside panel says. A fair share of the time we can tell you over the phone whether it is a ten-minute fix you can do yourself — a saturated filter, an airlock after a refill, a tripped high limit — and save you the service call entirely. If it needs a technician, the $185 service call covers the trip and the diagnosis, and you get the real fault and the cost before anything is replaced.
Start with the symptom checker or the error code index . Both are free and neither tries to book you.
Beyond repair we handle scheduled maintenance and water care and moving and removal . Removal is worth mentioning here specifically: if a spa has been sitting unused because the dealer vanished, we would rather diagnose it first and tell you honestly whether it is worth saving before anyone talks about hauling it away. Neighbouring Howell , South Lyon and Northville are covered too. Newer service pages cover Highland and Commerce Township as well.
Same $185 service call, same all-makes coverage, no distance surcharge inside the radius.
One call, one honest answer, and either a fix you can do yourself or a technician who already knows what he is walking into.
