Draining properly, or not at all

If you are shutting a tub down for winter, do it thoroughly. The shell is the easy part. The water that causes the damage is the water left sitting in the pump wet ends, the heater assembly, the filter housing and the low points in the plumbing, none of which drains by gravity from the main drain. If you would rather not do that yourself, it is a straightforward visit to book and a great deal cheaper than the alternative.
