Whitmore Lake & Northfield TownshipStraight down US-23, halfway between Brighton and Ann Arbor. Older lake installs are our normal work, not an exception, and the diagnosis comes before the quote.
Whitmore Lake is about twelve miles from our shop at 8160 W Grand River Ave in Brighton, straight down US-23 and easy to reach, which is why it is one of the towns we get to most reliably. We cover the lake itself, Northfield Township, the Six Mile and Eight Mile corridors, and the edges toward Hamburg and Ann Arbor Township.
Service call is $185 for the trip and the diagnosis. No distance surcharge.
A lot of the tubs around Whitmore Lake went in during the 1990s and 2000s, and a lot of them went in the same way: set into a deck, wrapped in decking or skirting, with the equipment bay boxed in on three sides. It looks excellent and it works fine until something needs replacing.
Every repair on a spa happens in that bay. The pump, the heater, the control pack, the sensors and nearly every fitting that leaks all live in one compartment, and if a technician cannot get a body and two hands in front of it, the job stops. That is not a reason to avoid an in-deck tub — it is a reason to mention it when you call so we arrive knowing what we are walking into.
Age gets blamed for a lot of faults that are actually one part. Heaters, pumps, sensors, pressure and flow switches and topside panels are replaceable on the large majority of older packs, and a twenty-year-old tub with a dead heater is a repair, not a write-off. When a shell is genuinely failing or the repair costs more than the tub is worth, we say so before the work starts. We sell refurbished hot tubs and we handle removal, so the honest answer never has to be the inconvenient one.
Electrical work on a spa circuit is licensed work in Michigan and Dr. Spa does not do it. We diagnose everything on the spa side of the disconnect and tell you plainly whether the fault is in the tub or the circuit. When it is the circuit, you get exactly what to ask a licensed electrician for. Reset a tripping GFCI once, and if it trips again, leave it off.
Tell us what the tub is doing and what the panel says. A good share of the time we can tell you over the phone whether it is something you can fix in ten minutes and save you the service call entirely. If it needs a technician, the $185 covers the trip and the diagnosis, and you hear the actual fault and the cost before anything is replaced. If a part has to be ordered, you know that on day one along with the timeline.
Try the symptom checker or the error code index first. Both are free and neither tries to book you.
Beyond repair we handle scheduled maintenance and water care and moving and removal . Deck-set tubs benefit more than most from a scheduled visit, because the parts that fail first are the ones you cannot see without pulling a panel. We also cover neighbouring Howell and Ann Arbor .
Same $185 service call, same all-makes coverage, no distance surcharge inside the radius.
One call, one honest answer, and either a fix you can do yourself or a technician who already knows what he is walking into.
