Ann Arbor & the townshipsIn-town lots are tight and the tubs are often older than the deck around them. Tell us how the tub is reached and what it is doing, and we will tell you what it usually means.
Ann Arbor sits about twenty-two miles from our shop at 8160 W Grand River Ave in Brighton, near the edge of the standard service radius and firmly inside it. We cover the city, Ann Arbor Township, the Plymouth Road and Washtenaw corridors, and the northern edges toward Whitmore Lake. Service call is $185 for the trip and the diagnosis, and there is no distance surcharge.
In-town Ann Arbor has some of the oldest housing stock we work in, and the spas reflect it. Tubs get tucked into small back gardens, wedged beside garages, built into decks on properties where the lot line is closer than the neighbours' windows. Many have been in place fifteen or twenty years, on circuits of the same vintage.
Two things follow from that, and both are worth saying plainly.
Nowhere else in the service area does access come up as often. For a repair it rarely matters — a technician carries what is needed and gets to the equipment bay. For moving or removal it is effectively the entire job, because the spa is a rigid object several feet across that has to travel from where it sits to where a truck can legally stand, and on a tight city lot that route may involve a side gate, steps, a slope and a street with no room to park.
Say all of that on the phone. Gate width, steps, slope, whether the deck comes apart, where a truck could sit. We would far rather quote a difficult removal accurately than arrive and find out.
Electrical work on a spa circuit is licensed work in Michigan and Dr. Spa does not do it. We diagnose everything on the spa side of the disconnect, tell you clearly whether the fault is in the tub or the circuit, and when it is the circuit, hand you exactly what to ask a licensed electrician for. Anything hot, scorched, melted or smelling of burning gets the breaker turned off first and a call second.
Tell us what the tub is doing and what the panel says. A good share of the time we can tell you over the phone whether it is something you can fix in ten minutes and save you the service call entirely. If it needs a technician, the $185 covers the trip and the diagnosis, and you hear the actual fault and the cost before anything is replaced. If a part has to be ordered, you know that on day one along with the timeline.
Try the symptom checker or the error code index first. Both are free and neither tries to book you.
Beyond repair we handle scheduled maintenance and water care and moving and removal . Where access is genuinely awkward, one scheduled visit a year is worth several emergencies — the goal is fewer trips down that side path, not more. We also cover neighbouring Whitmore Lake and Howell .
Same $185 service call, same all-makes coverage, no distance surcharge inside the radius.
One call, one honest answer, and either a fix you can do yourself or a technician who already knows what he is walking into.
