Chelsea & the western edgeThe furthest west we regularly go, and we do go. Rural acreage changes what is worth doing in one visit, so a Chelsea call gets planned rather than squeezed in.
Chelsea is about eighteen miles west of our shop in Brighton, out past Unadilla and the western edge of the lakes. It is close to the far side of our standard radius, and we still cover it at the same $185 service call with no distance surcharge. We serve the city, Sylvan, Lima and Lyndon Townships, and the stretch back toward Dexter.
We say that plainly because the assumption runs the other way. People this far west often decide a Brighton shop will not take the job, so they never call anyone and the tub sits cold for a season.
Not whether we come, but how. On a call five miles out, a missing part means a short trip back. At eighteen miles that is most of a morning, for both of us. So a Chelsea booking gets more work done on the phone before anyone leaves.
Get those three right and a large share of Chelsea calls are single-visit jobs.
Most properties out here are on private wells, and that water is generally hard and often carries iron. On a spa that means scale on the heater element, which is the most common underlying cause of the no-heat calls we take across the whole western side of the service area. A hose pre-filter at refill and a calcium hardness test are cheap and prevent most of it.
The other rural factor is power. Outages are more common and last longer out here, and in January that is the expensive one. A tub left full and unwatched through a winter outage is how a single split fitting turns into a multi-part repair.
Electrical work on a spa circuit is licensed work in Michigan and Dr. Spa does not do it. We diagnose everything on the spa side of the disconnect and tell you clearly which side the fault is on. After a rural outage it is sometimes genuinely the circuit rather than the tub, and knowing which saves you paying the wrong trade.
Tell us what the tub is doing and what the panel says. A good share of the time we can tell you over the phone whether it is something you can fix in ten minutes and save you the service call entirely. If it needs a technician, the $185 covers the trip and the diagnosis, and you hear the actual fault and the cost before anything is replaced. If a part has to be ordered, you know that on day one along with the timeline.
Try the symptom checker or the error code index first. Both are free and neither tries to book you.
Beyond repair we handle scheduled maintenance and water care and moving and removal . At this distance a scheduled visit is worth more than it is close in, because the point is to not need an emergency one in February. We also cover neighbouring Dexter and Pinckney .
Same $185 service call, same all-makes coverage, no distance surcharge inside the radius.
One call, one honest answer, and either a fix you can do yourself or a technician who already knows what he is walking into.
