Fenton, Lake Fenton & Linden

Hot tub repair
in Fenton.

Past the county line and still inside the radius. We know the lake-house problem: a tub that sits unused for weeks is a different animal from one that runs every night.

Past the county line, still inside the radius

Fenton is about fifteen miles from our shop in Brighton, straight up US-23. It sits in Genesee County rather than Livingston, and that is the only reason people hesitate to call — a county line looks like a boundary. It is not one. Distance is the boundary, and fifteen miles is comfortably inside it, at the same $185 service call with no distance surcharge.

We cover Fenton and Fenton Township, the Lake Fenton and Lake Ponemah shorelines, Silver Lake, and the Linden and Argentine edges.

Lake-house tubs are a different animal

A tub at a primary residence runs most nights and somebody sees it every day. A lake-house tub can go three weeks between visits, and that changes what goes wrong with it.

  • Water that sits still goes off fast. Sanitiser burns off, circulation stops doing its job, and you come back to cloudy water and a filter that is no longer keeping up.
  • Small leaks stay small until they do not. A weeping union at an occupied house gets noticed in a day. At a lake house it can run for a fortnight into the equipment bay.
  • Nobody is there when the power drops. This is the one that costs real money, and it is worth its own section.

Winter, power outages and the clock

A hot tub that loses power in January is on a timer. Well insulated cabinets buy hours, not days, and once the water in the plumbing freezes it expands and splits whatever is holding it — usually a fitting, a union or a pump wet end. That repair is several times the cost of the one you would have had.

If you are not going to be at the property through the winter, the honest options are two: keep it running with somebody checking on it, or have it properly drained and winterised so there is nothing left to freeze. The expensive version is the middle ground, where the tub is left full and unwatched.

Where we stop

Electrical work on a spa circuit is licensed work in Michigan and Dr. Spa does not do it. We diagnose everything on the spa side of the disconnect, and when the fault is in the house wiring or the breaker we tell you exactly what to have a licensed electrician look at. Reset a tripping GFCI once. If it trips again, leave it off and call.

What we get called to Fenton for

  • Freeze-related leaks. Found in spring, caused in January, on properties that were empty in between.
  • No heat after a long shutdown. Heater elements and sensors that did not survive sitting cold and wet.
  • Water chemistry that got away. Weeks of standing water, an exhausted filter, and a tub nobody wants to get into.

How the visit runs

Tell us what the tub is doing and what the panel says. A good share of the time we can tell you over the phone whether it is something you can fix in ten minutes and save you the service call entirely. If it needs a technician, the $185 covers the trip and the diagnosis, and you hear the actual fault and the cost before anything is replaced. If a part has to be ordered, you know that on day one along with the timeline.

Try the symptom checker or the error code index first. Both are free and neither tries to book you.

Also available in Fenton

Beyond repair we handle scheduled maintenance and water care and moving and removal . On a property you are not at every week, scheduled maintenance is worth more than it is anywhere else — somebody looks at the tub on a date you chose, instead of you finding out in February. We also cover neighbouring Hartland and Howell .

Nearby towns we also cover

Same $185 service call, same all-makes coverage, no distance surcharge inside the radius.
