Hot Spring & Caldera

Hot Spring spa
repair.

Hot Spring and Caldera are sister brands, and we service both. Independent, all makes and models, and a diagnosis before anyone quotes you a part.

Hot Spring and Caldera, serviced independently

Hot Spring and Caldera are sister brands under the same parent company, and we service both. Dr. Spa is an independent service company, so neither one requires a dealer relationship to get repaired.

These are generally well built spas, and the practical consequence is that the ones we see are often older. A tub that has run reliably for fifteen years and finally stopped heating is a repair, not a write-off, and that is the conversation most Hot Spring owners are actually calling to have.

What fails, and in what order

  • Heater elements and high limits. The most common fault on any brand. Hard well water and iron in this area put scale on the element, which makes it run hotter than it should and shortens its life.
  • Circulation pumps. Many of these spas run a dedicated low-flow circulation pump, and when it tires the first symptom is usually a flow or heating complaint rather than an obvious pump noise.
  • Sensors and flow switches. Cheap parts whose failure disables heating deliberately. The error code index explains what each code narrows it to.
  • Leaks. Unions, seals and heater fittings. Finding it is most of the job.

Diagnosis before parts, every time

A flow complaint on one of these can be a filter, an air lock, a failing circulation pump or a switch reporting nonsense. Four causes, four very different prices. Replacing the expensive candidate first is how people end up paying twice, so we test instead. The $185 covers the trip and the diagnosis.

Where we cover

Brighton and Livingston County out through Howell , Novi and Ann Arbor .

Where we stop

Electrical work on a spa circuit is licensed work in Michigan and Dr. Spa does not do it. We diagnose everything on the spa side of the disconnect and tell you plainly whether the fault is in the tub or the circuit feeding it. When it is the circuit, you get exactly what to ask a licensed electrician for.

How the visit runs

Tell us the make, roughly how old it is, and what the panel is showing. A good share of the time we can tell you over the phone whether it is something you can fix yourself in ten minutes. If it needs a technician, the $185 service call covers the trip and the diagnosis, and you hear the actual fault and the cost before anything is replaced.

The error code index covers what the panel is telling you, and the symptom checker starts from what the tub is doing instead.

Dr. Spa Inc is an independent hot tub and spa service company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an authorised dealer for Hot Spring Spas or Caldera Spas. Brand names are used to describe the equipment we repair.
