Artesian Spas

Artesian spa
repair.

Artesian builds several distinct lines and they do not all behave the same. Which line you own changes the plumbing, the pack and what is likely to have failed, so it is the first thing we establish.

Artesian, serviced independently

Artesian Spas shows up steadily across our service area, and Dr. Spa services it independently. No dealer relationship required, no parts channel we are locked into, and no new tub we are trying to sell you in place of a repair. We have worked on all makes and models since 2001.

Establishing the line first

Artesian builds several distinct ranges and they are not interchangeable. Pump count, plumbing layout and control pack all vary between them, and so does what tends to fail. Guessing here is how a visit turns into two visits.

  • The pack label. Inside the equipment bay, carrying its own manufacturer and model. This is the single most useful photograph you can send.
  • The topside panel. Its generation and code scheme narrow down the pack.
  • The number of pumps. Audible on startup, and it tells us a great deal about the plumbing behind the panel.

What we get called out for

  • No heat. Heater elements and high-limit sensors, the most common single fault on any brand. Scale from hard well water is the usual underlying cause across the northern and western parts of our area.
  • Flow and pressure faults. Filters first, then circulation pumps and the switches reporting on them. The error code index covers what the codes mean.
  • Control packs and relays. Boards that behave erratically rather than dying cleanly, which is why these get misdiagnosed so often.
  • Leaks. Unions, pump seals and heater fittings, found properly before anything is replaced.

Diagnosis before parts, every time

The most expensive repairs in this trade are the ones where somebody replaced the wrong component first. We test, we tell you what actually failed, and you hear the cost before anything is touched. Where a part is genuinely proprietary and slow to source, you hear that on day one rather than discovering it later.

The honest limits are the same on every brand. A cracked or delaminating shell is not economically repairable, and plumbing that has frozen and been patched through several winters is worth stopping rather than feeding. How a visit is priced is set out on the repair cost page .

Where we stop

Electrical work on a spa circuit is licensed work in Michigan and Dr. Spa does not do it. We diagnose everything on the spa side of the disconnect and tell you plainly whether the fault is in the tub or the circuit feeding it. When it is the circuit, you get exactly what to ask a licensed electrician for.

How the visit runs

Tell us the make, roughly how old it is, and what the panel is showing. A good share of the time we can tell you over the phone whether it is something you can fix yourself in ten minutes. If it needs a technician, the $185 service call covers the trip and the diagnosis, and you hear the actual fault and the cost before anything is replaced.

The error code index covers what the panel is telling you, and the symptom checker starts from what the tub is doing instead.

Dr. Spa Inc is an independent hot tub and spa service company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an authorised dealer for Artesian Spas. Brand names are used to describe the equipment we repair.
